理论上每支民兵队伍都奉行民主，没有地位高低之分。大家都知道必须服从军令，但你下达命令时是出于同志之情，而不是上级对下级发号施令。民兵组织有军官和军士，但没有普通意义上的军阶，也没有军衔和徽章，不需要并腿敬礼。他们试图在民兵队伍中树立起一套无阶级社会的临时制度规范。当然，绝对平等是不存在的，但已经相当平等了，我此前从未见到过，也无法想象在战争的时候能够以这种组织去打仗。
