赫尔曼·黑塞（HermannHesse，1877——1962）德国作家，诗人。1877年7月2日出生于德国施瓦本地区一个叫卡尔夫的小城。1904年出版《彼得·卡门青》，一举成名。其后陆续创作了《在轮下》《德米安：彷徨少年时》《悉达多》《荒原狼》《玻璃球游戏》等多部作品，得到了包括托马斯·曼、保罗·柯艾略、亨利·米勒在内的诸多作家的赞誉。1946年，获得诺贝尔文学奖。黑塞的作品深具人文关怀，着重探讨人的精神成长与自我发现之路，让众多读者产生共鸣。
